february has consisted of...

1. my 5 year Diary arriving 2. discovering the Saccone - Jolys on YouTube and becoming quite addicted. 3. too many drunken nights out 4. the biggest fail of pancake day ever! 5 and 6. spending too much time playing games on my phone and not enough time doing uni work 7. a pretty amazing valentines day 8. messing about with imadeface 9. lots of nights in with a take away... 10. and a few meals out 11. a rather embarrassing drunken performance of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from Les Mis captured on video (CRINGE!) and 12. healthy(ish) meals.

February is my least favourite month in the year. I'm not sure why, but I've never had a good February and this month has been no exception! Way too many sleepless nights and procrastination of uni work has made me a stressy Becky this month and I've not really enjoyed it. Hopefully March will be better. I'm going to try and sort my horrendous sleeping pattern out once and for all and get cracking on university work and assignments so I don't leave them all to the last minute and have major breakdowns when I realise just how much I've got to do. There's also a few things coming up in March that I'm really looking forward to such as Adam's 21st, our weekend in Bristol and going home for Easter so I'm hoping that next month is going to be a lot better than this one.

How has your February been? What are you looking forward to for next month?

TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY HAPPY DAYS

Tuesday was another wonderful day. The sun was, not only shining, but actually providing warmth in Swansea for once! I had planned to wrap up warm with my beanie and a scarf but I found that it was such a lovely day, a dress and leather jacket was more than sufficient!

It is Adam's 21st birthday next month and, as his parents are teachers, they took the opportunity to come down to Swansea as it's half term and treated us to a lovely meal. We went to The George in Mumbles where we had a really nice, filling meal and all got to have a little catch up. We then walked to the amusements and topped the afternoon off with a famous Joe's Ice-cream. I  haven't seen Adams family since Boxing Day and his Mom, Dad and sister are all really lovely so it was so nice to be able to spend the day with them all. They definitely picked the right day to come for a visit!

Speaking of Adam's birthday, I'm taking him for a weekend in Bristol and was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas of fun things to do there? Would really appreciate any ideas, especially with what to do on the Sunday.

I ASK YOU TO BE MY VALENTINE

Thursday was Valentines Day as everyone knows and on this day I gave Adam his presents, cooked him dinner (when I type 'cooked dinner' please read 'microwaved a ready meal') and had a lazy day in front of the laptop watching anything of Adam's choosing.

Thursday was his Valentines day, Saturday was mine.

Adam had planned to take me to London like last year, but unfortunately there was a mix up with his getting paid from his old job so he couldn't afford it. Instead we had a wonderful day in Swansea.

Adam did a kind of treasure hunt for me, giving me clues to different locations that meant something to us around Swansea and when we arrived at the place, giving me clues to guess a letter which would spell out the name of our final activity. How romantic!?

We started our day at Uplands Diner where we had a gorgeous breakfast and I guessed the letter 'A'.

was too hungry to get a picture of the food or anything, it was so tasty we just scoffed it down so this photo is via google images

Next we went onto my favourite place in Swansea, the Ornamental Gardens. I love it there. It is honestly the most peaceful place and as soon as I sit down on the bench I feel like everything else fades away and it's just me, the whistling wind, the rustling plants and the wildlife.

Here I was given a clue and worked out it was the letter 'N'. Next place on our Swansea tour? The beach :)

Here I got two letters 'J' and 'D' and we were on our way to Brangwyn Hall where I added the letter 'O' to my collection.

Just one more letter to guess now and the location for this one was Starbucks. I was given the letter 'G' and we went inside, had a nice warm drink and a cake while I spent a long time trying to work out what my final treat was.

DJANGO! Finally I was going to see Django Unchained! I'd been waiting so so long to see that film! And so we headed off to the cinema, by passing the beautiful St. Mary's Church in the town centre and watched one of the best films I've seen all year! Topped off with a takeaway from my favourite takeaway place in Swansea and a night in together, I had a wonderful day.

I honestly couldn't have asked for a more romantic or special treat. It was perfect and I'm so grateful for the amount of effort Adam put into the whole day.

I hope all your Valentines/weekends were as good as mine :)

THIS WAS OUR PLACE

Seeing as it is almost St. Valentine's Day I thought I'd share something I find incredibly romantic. The art of Rob Ryan.

Rob Ryan's illustrations are so beautiful and whimsical and childlike. I think they are the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever, ever seen and I could (and do!) go through his portfolio of gorgeous work everyday just soaking in everything I love about them.

Whilst I think they are outstandingly beautiful, what makes them so romantic is the text that goes along with the images. Special, wonderful little quotes and speeches that are so simple yet ring so true to anyone who has felt what he describes.

I'm not doing him justice. If you haven't heard of Rob Ryan I really think you are missing out and should take a look at his work. You can purchase them from a few different places; his Etsy shop, his shop website and Mollie & Fred to name but a few. They may not be cheap, but they are so so so worth every penny (in my opinion!)

One day my house is going to be filled with plates, mugs, cushions and screen prints of Rob's. Here is a few of my favourite of his work.

What do you guys think? Who are your favourite artists/illustrators? And what do you find romantic? I'd love to know :)

20 FACTS ABOUT US

So many people have been doing posts/youtube videos with facts about themselves and I absolutely love reading/watching them so I thought I'd do my own little version. As I've already put some facts about me in my two award posts (which you can read here) and my other favourite type of video to watch is the boyfriend tag (but I'm way too shy to get in front of a camera) I thought I'd combine the two and do a  20 things about us post with a list of 20 facts about me, my boyfriend and our relationship.

1. We have been together for 3 years.

2. We are best friends.

3. We both want the same things out of life, which is pretty perfect :)

4. We have the exact same sense of humour.

5. We are polar opposites in almost everything else. If we wasn't, our relationship wouldn't work.

6. I am neat he is messy, he is laid back I am stressy.

7. Adam is a spur of the moment kinda guy. I need to have a plan.

8. I fancied Adam for about a year before he told me he liked me. I definitely did the chasing. It majorly  paid off.

9. One day we're going to have travelled the world. We've already started.

10. Our relationship is made up of hundreds of personal jokes.

11. Adam is the funniest person I know.

12. I am the funniest person Adam knows ;)

13. We spend half our time together on sporcle.

14. Adam is the worst person to play games with.. ever! He is the most obnoxious winner and the sorest loser you will ever meet. He is also a massive cheat.

15. I am the worst person to go to sleep with. I'm never tired at normal 'bed time' hours and try to keep Adam awake with me by any means possible which usually results in a wrestling match.

16. We have a trillion and 7 nicknames for each other.

17. I have the most romantic boyfriend ever. My girlfriends are all jealous of the cute things he does.

18. Adam knows me better then I know myself (as cliche as that sounds, its true!).

19. After three years we don't have a single nice photo together.

20. Adam has the best sadface, one flash of his cute pout and puppy dog eyes could get him away with murder.
